Removal

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: SEAT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER ASSEMBLY Removal

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK COVER LH Removal

8. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH Removal

9. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER LH Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

11. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the "TORX" screw and seat position sensor with the seat slide position sensor protector.

(c) Remove the seat position sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.
