Installation





P313 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Keeping the engine and hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly in a horizontal position, align the knock pins with each hole in the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly and temporarily install the 10 bolts.





NOTICE:
* Do not apply grease either to the splines or to the input shaft.
* When inserting the input shaft into the damper, do not insert the shaft at an angle. Do not shake the hybrid vehicle transaxle excessively when inserting the input shaft.
* Insert the knock pins into the knock pin holes securely so that the end face of the transaxle assembly fits close against the engine assembly before tightening the bolts.

(b) Tighten the 10 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.

for Bolt A - Torque : 64 Nm (653 kgf-cm, 47 ft-lbf)

for Bolt B - Torque : 46 Nm (469 kgf-cm, 34 ft-lbf)

for Bolt C - Torque : 64 Nm (653 kgf-cm, 47 ft-lbf)

for Bolt D - Torque : 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not reuse bolt B.





2. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH

(a) Install the engine mounting insulator LH with the nut.

Torque : 95 Nm (969 kgf-cm, 70 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the dynamic damper with the bolt.

Torque : 14 Nm (138 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Install the front engine mounting bracket with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 64 Nm (653 kgf-cm, 47 ft-lbf)

4. INSTALL NO. 3 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE COVER

(a) Install the No. 3 automatic transmission case cover with the 2 bolts and clip.

Torque : 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)

5. INSTALL NO. 2 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE COVER

(a) Install the No. 2 automatic transmission case cover with the 2 bolts and clip.

Torque : 12 Nm (120 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

6. INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE COVER

(a) Install the automatic transmission case cover with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)

7. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

8. INSTALL INLET OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the No. 1 oil cooler tube clamp with the bolt shown in the illustration.

Torque : 8.2 Nm (84 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)

(b) Install the oil cooler tube union with a new O-ring.

Torque : 27 Nm (275 kgf-cm, 20 ft-lbf)

(c) Temporarily install the inlet oil cooler tube sub-assembly.

(d) Install the No. 2 oil cooler tube clamp with the bolt.

Torque : 8.2 Nm (84 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)

(e) Using a 17 mm union nut wrench, install the outlet oil cooler tube while holding the union with a wrench.

Torque : 34 Nm (350 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

9. INSTALL OUTLET OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the No. 1 oil cooler tube clamp with the bolt shown in the illustration.

Torque : 20 Nm (199 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the oil cooler tube union with a new gasket.

Torque : 34 Nm (350 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf)

(c) Temporarily install the outlet oil cooler tube.

(d) Install the No. 2 oil cooler tube clamp with the bolt.

Torque : 8.2 Nm (84 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)

(e) Using a 17 mm union nut wrench, install the outlet oil cooler tube while holding the union with a wrench.

Torque : 34 Nm (350 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

10. INSTALL NO. 1 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET

(a) Install the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 12 Nm (120 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

11. INSTALL NO. 3 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET

(a) Install the No. 3 transmission control cable bracket with the bolt.

Torque : 12 Nm (120 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

12. INSTALL NO. 2 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET

(a) Install the No. 2 transmission control cable bracket with the bolt.

Torque : 12 Nm (120 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

13. INSTALL MOTOR CABLE BRACKET

(a) Install the motor cable bracket with the bolt.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

14. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

(a) Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

15. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS

(a) Connect the 4 connectors and attach the 8 wire harness clamps to the hybrid vehicle transaxle.

16. INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE
