P313 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE

Removal

2. SUPPORT HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Support the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly with a transmission jack so that it is stable.

NOTICE:
* Place wooden blocks or plate lift attachments so that the hybrid vehicle transaxle is level.
* Do not damage the hybrid vehicle transaxle.

3. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS

(a) Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the 8 wire harness clamps from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





4. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

(a) Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly and motor cable bracket.

5. REMOVE NO. 2 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET

(a) Remove the bolt and No. 2 transmission control cable bracket from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





6. REMOVE NO. 3 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET

(a) Remove the bolt and No. 3 transmission control cable bracket from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





7. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.





8. REMOVE OUTLET OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a 17 mm union nut wrench, disconnect the outlet oil cooler tube from the oil cooler tube union.

(b) Remove the bolt, No. 2 oil cooler tube clamp and outlet oil cooler tube from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

(c) Remove the oil cooler tube union and gasket from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





(d) Remove the bolt and No. 1 oil cooler tube clamp from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





9. REMOVE INLET OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a 17 mm union nut wrench, disconnect the inlet oil cooler tube from the oil cooler tube union.

(b) Remove the bolt, No. 2 oil cooler tube clamp and inlet oil cooler tube from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

(c) Remove the oil cooler tube union and O-ring from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





(d) Remove the bolt and No. 1 oil cooler tube clamp from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





10. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR Removal

11. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE COVER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and automatic transmission case cover from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





12. REMOVE NO. 2 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE COVER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, clip and No. 2 automatic transmission case cover from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





13. REMOVE NO. 3 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE COVER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, clip and No. 3 automatic transmission case cover from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





14. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and front engine mounting bracket.





15. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH

(a) Remove the bolt and dynamic damper from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





(b) Remove the nut and engine mounting insulator LH from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





16. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 10 bolts.





(b) Remove the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

NOTICE:
Do not pry between the transaxle assembly and engine more than necessary to prevent the knock pins from being damaged.
