DESCRIPTION
When a key is registered, the transponder key ECU outputs the key registration condition by lighting up, blinking or turning OFF the security indicator light.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT
When the transponder key ECU is replaced, reregister the ECU - ECM communication ID Engine Immobiliser System.
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
Immobiliser
OK:
Security indicator light turns ON and OFF.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT TRANSPONDER KEY ECU
(a) Remove the transponder key ECU with the connector still connected Removal.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
(c) Reinstall the transponder key ECU.
NG -- REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU Removal
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Engine Immobiliser System
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)
(a) Disconnect the H32 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the I22 meter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the ECU and meter connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE ACCESSORY METER (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT) Removal
