Front Seat Assembly (for Power Seat)

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

(a) Check the operation of the front power seat motor assembly (slide motor).





(1) Apply battery voltage to the power seat motor assembly (slide motor).

(2) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the front power seat motor assembly.

(b) Check operation of the front seat adjuster (front vertical motor).





(1) Check if the front seat adjuster moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the front vertical motor connector terminals.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat assembly.

(c) Check operation of the front seat adjuster (rear lifter motor).





(1) Check if the front seat adjuster moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the rear lifter motor connector terminals.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat assembly.

(d) Check operation of the front seatback frame (reclining motor).





(1) Check if the seatback frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat assembly.

(e) w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch:

Check operation of the front seat adjuster (leg support adjustment motor).





(1) Check if the front seat adjuster moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the leg support adjustment motor connector terminals.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat assembly.

2. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Check the operation of the front power seat motor assembly (slide motor).





(1) Apply battery voltage to the power seat motor assembly (slide motor).

(2) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the front power seat motor assembly.

(b) Check operation of the front seatback frame (reclining motor).





(1) Check if the front seatback frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat assembly.
