C1298 - Linear Solenoid Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The 4WD control ECU receives signals from each sensor to control clutch pressure to distribute torque according to the driving conditions.

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

Check the condition of each related circuit connector before troubleshooting Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4WD CONTROL ECU - BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT ELECTRO MAGNETIC CONTROL COUPLING (ELECTROMAGNETIC SOLENOID)
(a) Disconnect the coupling connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE ELECTRO MAGNETIC CONTROL COUPLING SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ELECTROMAGNETIC CONTROL COUPLING - 4WD CONTROL ECU)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE 4WD CONTROL ECU Removal
