DESCRIPTION
The stereo component tuner assembly sends sound signals to the navigation receiver assembly through this circuit. If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the navigation receiver assembly or speakers.

PROCEDURE
1. CHECK STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSY
(a) Disconnect the D59 navigation receiver assembly connector.
(b) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between each terminal and the body ground according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.
OK:
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION DISPLAY)
OK -- REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY Removal
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION DISPLAY)
(a) Disconnect the L20 stereo component tuner assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the D59 navigation receiver assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open):
Standard Resistance (Check for Short):
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY Removal
