DESCRIPTION

The multi-media interface ECU sends sound signals to the radio receiver assembly through this circuit.

If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier assembly, radio receiver assembly or speakers.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between each terminal and the body ground according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU - RADIO RECEIVER)

(a) Disconnect the D66 multi-media interface ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the D60 radio receiver assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU Removal
