C1AE7 - Rear Left Center Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The No. 3 ultrasonic sensor LH is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor LH. If the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor LH has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the ignition switch to ON and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

2. REPLACE NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH

(a) Replace the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor LH with a normally functioning sensor Removal.

(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
