Removal

1AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

3. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

Removal

4. REMOVE COWL PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the wire harness clamp.





(b) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

(c) Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.





(d) Disconnect the vacuum switching valve connector.

(e) Disengage the hose clamp and separate the vacuum hose.





(f) Disconnect the vacuum hose.

(g) Loosen the hose clip and disconnect the air cleaner hose.





(h) Remove the 2 bolts and the air cleaner assembly.

8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE

(a) Loosen the clip and disconnect the No. 1 air hose.





(b) Loosen the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose assembly.

(c) Separate the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose from the hose clamp.

(d) Separate the vacuum hose from the hose clamp.

(e) Separate the No. 2 vacuum switching valve assembly.

(f) Separate the No. 1 air hose from the 2 hose clamps.





(g) Separate the vacuum hose from the hose clamp.





(h) Loosen the hose clip and remove the No. 1 air cleaner hose.

9. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE

(a) Loosen the clip and disconnect the water by-pass hose.





10. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

(a) Loosen the clip and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose.





11. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the throttle body connector.





(b) Separate the fuel tube from the fuel hose bracket.

(c) Remove the 4 bolts and the throttle with motor body assembly.





(d) Remove the bolt and fuel hose bracket.





(e) Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
