INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK LOCK FUNCTION OF GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH

(a) Check the lock function with the pulley installed in the vehicle.

(1) Visually check that the rotor in the generator assembly operates with the engine running.

(b) Check the lock function with the pulley removed from the vehicle.

(1) Remove the generator pulley cap.

(2) Hold the generator rotor assembly using SST, and turn the generator pulley with clutch clockwise to check that the outer ring locks Disassembly.

NG -- REPLACE GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH Components
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK LOCK OF GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH

(a) Start the engine and visually check the generator pulley with clutch for looseness.

OK:

The generator pulley with clutch is not loose.

NG -- TIGHTEN GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH TO THE SPECIFIED TORQUE

OK -- REPLACE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY Components
