DESCRIPTION
The multi-media interface ECU sends sound signals to the navigation receiver assembly through this circuit. If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier assembly, navigation receiver assembly or speakers.

1. CHECK NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
(a) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between each terminal and the body ground according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU)
(a) Disconnect the D59 navigation receiver assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the D66 multi-media interface ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU Removal
