Sound Signal Circuit Between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Component Amplifier

DESCRIPTION

The navigation receiver assembly sends sound signals to the stereo component amplifier assembly through this circuit. If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier assembly, navigation receiver assembly or speakers.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the L5 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.





(b) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between each terminal and the body ground according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.

OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER)

(a) Disconnect the D52 navigation receiver assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the L5 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
