DESCRIPTION

The stereo component tuner assembly sends sound signals to the multi-media interface ECU through this circuit. If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier assembly, navigation receiver assembly or speakers.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU

(a) Disconnect the D67 multi-media interface ECU connector.





(b) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between each terminal and the body ground according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU)

(a) Disconnect the L20 stereo component tuner assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the D67 multi-media interface ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
