BRAKE CONTROL: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM (for Hydraulic Brake Booster): DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
NOTICE:
When removing any parts, turn the ignition switch off.
HINT
* If no abnormality is found when inspecting parts, check the skid control ECU and check for poor contact at ground points.
* If a trouble code is displayed during the DTC check, inspect the trouble areas listed for that code. For details of the code, refer to "See page" below.
* When 2 or more DTCs are detected, perform each circuit inspection until the problem is identified.
* All DTCs in the table below are detected in accordance with 1 trip detection logic.
DTC Chart of ABS:
(*1), (*2):
Even after the trouble areas are repaired, the ABS warning light will not go off unless the following operations are performed.
* (*1):
a. Drive the vehicle at 20 km/h (12 mph) for 30 seconds or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
b. Clear the DTC.
* (*2):
a. Keep the vehicle stationary for 5 seconds or more and depress the brake pedal several times.
b. Repeat the above operation 3 times or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
c. Clear the DTC.
(*3): 4WD
(*4): Skid control (VSC control) buzzer sounds.
HINT
In some cases, Techstream cannot be used when the ABS warning light and SLIP indicator remains on.
