DESCRIPTION

If the rear RH side manual UP/DOWN function does not operate, the power window regulator motor assembly, the power window regulator switch assembly or the wire harness may be malfunctioning.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (B VOLTAGE)

(a) Disconnect the P16 power window regulator switch connector.





(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(c) Measure the voltage.

Standard:





(d) Reconnect the power window regulator switch connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE J/B - REGULATOR SWITCH)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (SWITCH OPERATION)

(a) Remove the power window regulator switch.





(b) Disconnect the P16 power window regulator switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance between the terminals of the connector when the switch is operated.

Standard:





(d) Reconnect the power window regulator switch connector.

(e) Reinstall the power window regulator switch.

NG -- REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REGULATOR SWITCH - REGULATOR MOTOR AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the P16 power window regulator switch connector.





(b) Disconnect the P13 power window regulator motor connector.

(c) Measure the resistance.

Standard:





(d) Reconnect the power window regulator switch connector.

(e) Reconnect the power window regulator motor connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (REAR RH)

(a) Remove the power window regulator motor.





(b) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

(c) Check that the motor smoothly rotates.

NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.

OK:





(d) Reinstall the power window regulator motor.

NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (REAR RH)

OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH - REGULATOR SWITCH)
