Removal
INTERIOR: ROOF HEADLINING (for Regular Cab): REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
(a) Remove the front seat assembly Removal.
3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)
(a) Remove the front seat assembly Removal.
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Center Seat)
(a) Remove the front seat assembly Removal.
5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
(a) Detach the 6 claws and 3 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate.
6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
(a) Remove the clip.
(b) Detach the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim board.
8. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.
10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.
11. REMOVE UPPER BACK PANEL GARNISH
(a) Detach the 10 clips and remove the upper back panel garnish.
12. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT BOX LH
(a) Remove the 2 clips.
(b) Detach the 3 claws and remove the luggage compartment box.
13. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT BOX RH
(a) Remove the 4 clips and luggage compartment box.
14. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the 2 assist grip plugs.
HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and assist grip.
(c) Detach the claw and remove the front pillar garnish.
Protect the curtain shield airbag.
(1) Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.
15. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
16. REMOVE LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Detach the 7 clips and remove the lower quarter trim panel.
17. REMOVE LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Detach the 8 clips and remove the lower quarter trim panel.
18. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the cover.
HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Detach the 2 claws and open the seat belt anchor cover.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the seat belt's shoulder anchor.
Remove the 2 bolts.
(b) Detach the 5 clips and remove the front quarter trim panel.
19. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH

20. REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal
21. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER (w/ EC Mirror) Removal
22. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER LH
(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.
23. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER RH

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
24. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 3 screws and visor.
25. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH
HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
26. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER
(a) Remove the screw and visor holder.
HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the visor holder on the other side.
27. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.
HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Detach the 2 clips and remove the assist grip.
28. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP PLUG
(a) Insert a screwdriver into the service notch and break off the cap.
(b) Detach the clip and remove the assist grip plug.
29. REMOVE COAT HOOK
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the coat hook cap.
HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Remove the screw and coat hook.
30. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
(a) w/ EC Mirror:
(1) Disconnect the EC mirror connector.
Disconnect the roof wire connector and detach the 3 clamps from the front pillar.
Detach the 3 clips.
Take out the roof headlining from the cabin as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the roof headlining when taking it out.
