SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for 8 Way Seat Type)

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the vertical adjuster handle cap.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





(b) Remove the 2 screws and vertical adjuster handle.





2. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB LH (for 8 Way Seat Type)

(a) Remove the snap ring and vertical seat adjuster knob.





3. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH





(a) Lift the reclining adjuster release handle.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the hog rings and rubber bands of the seatback cover from the seat frame.





(b) Remove the 2 screws.





(c) Detach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the cushion shield.

(d) w/ Lumbar Support Adjuster:

Disconnect the switch connector.

5. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH (w/ Lumbar Support Adjuster)

(a) Remove the 2 screws and switch.





6. REMOVE INNER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH





(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the cushion shield.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD LH

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.





(b) Remove the hog rings.





(c) Bend the 2 seat frame claws upward.

(d) Detach the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH





(a) Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH

11. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD LH

(a) Detach the hook.





(b) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover wires.





(c) Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.





(d) Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.





(e) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover with pad.





12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER LH

(a) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover wires.





(b) Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.





(c) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.





13. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH





(a) Remove the screw and reclining adjuster inside cover.

14. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Remove the screw and reclining adjuster inside cover.

15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH





(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.

16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.

17. REMOVE LOWER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH





(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the seat cushion shield lower.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

18. REMOVE LOWER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the seat cushion shield lower.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

19. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Lumbar Support Adjuster)

(a) Remove the 2 springs.





(b) Detach the 6 hooks and remove the seatback spring.

(c) Disconnect the lumbar support adjuster connector.





(d) Remove the 2 screws and lumbar support adjuster.

(e) Detach the 3 claws and remove the bush from the seat frame.





20. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)





(a) Disconnect the 2 ECU connectors.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the ECU.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

21. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR Removal

22. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH

23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal
