Air Switching Valve (for Bank 2)





1GR-FE EMISSION CONTROL: AIR SWITCHING VALVE (for Bank 2): INSPECTION

1. INSPECT NO. 2 EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTICE:
When measuring the resistance, do not touch terminals 2, 3 or 4.

HINT
When measuring the resistance, make sure that the surface temperature of the No. 2 emission control valve set is 20°C.

If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 emission control valve set.

(b) Check the operation of the No. 2 emission control valve set.

(1) Check that air does not flow from port A to port B.

NOTICE:
Make sure the applied pressure is 30 kPa (0.3 kgf/cm2, 4.4 psi) or less.

If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 emission control valve set.

(2) Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 5.

NOTICE:
When applying voltage, do not touch terminals 2, 3 or 4.





(3) Check that air flows from port A to port B.
