Removal

1GR-FE FUEL: FUEL INJECTOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK

(a) Remove the intake air surge tank Removal.

2. REMOVE REAR CYLINDER HEAD COVER





(a) Remove the 3 bolts and cover.

3. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly Service Precautions.





4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the No. 2 fuel pipe sub-assembly Service Precautions.





5. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 6 fuel injector connectors.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts and fuel delivery pipe together with the 6 fuel injectors.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to drop the injectors when removing the fuel delivery pipe.

6. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 6 fuel injectors from the fuel delivery pipe.

(b) Remove the O-ring and injector vibration insulator from each fuel injector.
