Throttle Cable/Linkage: Testing and Inspection

Accelerator cable, checking/adjusting






Checking

- depress accelerator pedal fully (to floor stop)
- throttle valve must just reach full throttle position (maximum of 1 mm of play at throttle valve lever)

If NO
- adjust as follows


Adjusting

- remove retaining clip (arrow) and reposition slotted portion of cable
- (until checking condition is met)

- re-insert positioning clip
- verify that checking condition is met
