Post Injection Metering Pump

Metering pumps are secured on the subframe and inject diesel fuel behind the catalytic converters. The goal is to increase the exhaust temperature in order to burn the particle filter.

- 1 -: Bank 2 particle filter post-injection metering pump (V337)

- 2 -: Bank 1 particle filter post-injection metering pump (V336)





Metering Pumps, Securing

• - A -: Bolts, tightening specifications 9 Nm.

• - B -: To cylinder bank 2 catalytic converter, refer to.

• - C -: From fuel tank.

• - D -: To cylinder bank 1 catalytic converter, refer to.

The metering pump fuel line - A - is secured directly behind the catalytic converter in order to utilize its exhaust temperature.
