High Pressure Fuel Pump Overview
• Staring in 06.06, the low pressure line to the high pressure pump was changed from being a pipe with a banjo bolt to a hose connection with a spring type clip.
1 Lifter
• Replace if damaged.
2 O-ring
• Replace
• Before installing, lubricate with clean engine oil.
3 High Pressure Pump with Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ High Pressure Fuel Pump ] High Pressure Fuel Pump.
4 Bolt
• 10 Nm
5 Union Nut
• 27 Nm
• Counter hold the threaded connection when loosening.
• Check the tightening specification for the threaded connection inside the high pressure pump before installing.
• Install the fuel pipe free of stress.
6 High Pressure Pipe
• Follow the safety measures for releasing the high side fuel pressure. Refer to => [ High Side Fuel Pressure, Releasing ] Service and Repair.
7 Fitting
• 30 Nm
• On vehicles from 06.06.
• Replace only after it has been loosened
• Always leave the old seal in the high pressure pump when replacing the threaded connection, it is pinched during initial assembly by the supplier and cannot be removed. the new threaded connection has a biting edge for sealing.
8 Low Pressure Fuel Hose
• On vehicles from 06.06.
• Secure with a spring type clamp.
9 Banjo Bolt with Conical Seal Seat
• 15 Nm
• Replace
• Install fuel pipe free of stress.
• Counter hold the threaded connection when loosening.
• On vehicles up to 05.06.
10 Low Pressure Pipe
• On vehicles up to 05.06.
• Low pressure.
11 Threaded Support
• 30 Nm
• On vehicles up to 05.06.
• Replace only after it has been loosened.
• Always leave the old seal in the high pressure pump when replacing the threaded connection, it is pinched during initial assembly by the supplier and cannot be removed. the new threaded connection has a biting edge for sealing.
12 High Pressure Pipe Threaded Connection
• 40 Nm
• Do not loosen the threaded connection, just retighten it.
13 Low Fuel Pressure Sensor (G410)
• 15 Nm
14 Seal
• Replace
