Accelerator Pedal Module






Accelerator Pedal Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Release tool (T10238)

Removing





- Remove the footwell trim mounting nuts - arrows - and trim.

- Pry out the cover cap - 4 - using a screwdriver.





- Remove the bolt - 3 -.

- Slide the (T10238) as shown into the openings designated for it until it stops and remove the accelerator pedal module.





- Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerator pedal module.

With new connectors, press the securing element down.

Installing





- Connect the electrical connector - 2 - to the accelerator pedal module - 5 - and push the rubber sleeve - 1 - (if equipped) over the connector again.

The electrical connector must engage audibly.

- Press the accelerator pedal module onto the securing studs - 6 -.

- Insert the centering pin - 7 - into the hole in the vehicle floor.

- Secure the accelerator pedal module with the bolt - 3 - and install the cap - 4 -.

Tightening specification: 10 Nm.

- Reinstall the footwell trim and nuts.

- If the accelerator pedal module was replaced, then the Engine Control Module (ECM) must be adapted to the accelerator pedal module. Refer to => vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051).

- If the accelerator pedal module was replaced on a vehicle with a DSG transmission, then the kick down function must learned. Refer to => vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051).
