Exhaust System Overview





1 Gasket

Replace

2 Oxygen Sensor (O2S) (G39)

55 Nm

Bank 1, sensor 1.

Only use hot bolt paste to grease the threads; do not let the paste get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.

3 Nut

40 Nm

Replace

Lubricate the stud bolts on the exhaust manifold with hot bolt paste.

4 Heat Shield

5 Front Exhaust Pipe With Catalytic Converter

Protect from shocks and impact stress.

With the flex joint.

Flex joint must not be bent more than 10° - otherwise it may be damaged.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter ] Service and Repair.

6 Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Behind Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) (G130)

55 Nm

Bank 1, sensor 2.

Only use hot bolt paste to grease the threads; do not let the paste get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.

7 Retaining Loop

Replace if damaged.

8 Bolt

25 Nm

9 Suspended Mount

Replace if damaged.

10 Rear Muffler

Original equipment as one unit with the center muffler. For repairs, replace each separately.

Separating the exhaust system. Refer to => [ Center and Rear Mufflers, Separating ] Service and Repair.

11 Rear Clamping Sleeve

For individual replacement of the center and rear mufflers.

Installed position, refer to => [ Rear Clamping Sleeve
Installed Position ] Clamping Sleeves.

Tighten the bolts evenly.

12 Center Muffler

Original equipment as one unit with the rear muffler. For repairs, replace each separately.

Separating the exhaust system. Refer to => [ Center and Rear Mufflers, Separating ] Service and Repair.

13 Front Clamping Sleeve

Installed position, refer to => [ Front Clamping Sleeve
Installed Position ] Clamping Sleeves.

Tighten the bolts evenly.

14 Suspended Mount

For the center muffler.

15 Suspended Mount

For the catalytic converter.

Replace if damaged.
