Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments
Multifunction Transmission Range Switch, Adjusting
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Setting Gauge (T10173)
- Place the selector lever in the "N" position.
- Do not kink the selector lever cable.
Prerequisites
• Selector lever cable is disconnected from the selector shaft lever
• Shift rod is in the "N" position
• Bolts for the multifunction transmission range switch (F125) are loosened
• Lever/shift rod is removed
- Install the (T10173) onto the shift rod - 2 - and turn the multifunction switch - 1 - until the (T10173) engages on the connector tab of the multifunction switch.
- Tighten the (T10173) to the shift rod - 2 - using bolt - 3 -.
- Tighten the multifunction switch bolts - arrows - to 6 Nm.
- Remove the (T10173).
- Further installation is performed in the reverse sequence. Refer to => [ Installing ] Service and Repair.
