Torque Converter Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Extractor Lever (VW 681)

• Thrust Piece (T10175)

Removing

• Transmission is removed, refer to one of the following:

Passat with Front Wheel Drive (FWD), refer to => [ Transmission, with Front Wheel Drive ] Passat and CC Specific Components.

Passat with All Wheel Drive (AWD), refer to => [ Transmission, with All Wheel Drive ] Passat and CC Specific Components.

CC with FWD, refer to => [ Transmission, with Front Wheel Drive ] Passat and CC Specific Components.

CC with AWD, refer to => [ Transmission, with All Wheel Drive ] Passat and CC Specific Components.

- Remove the torque converter.

- Pry out the seal using (VW 681).





Installing

- Drive in the seal until seated using (T10175).
