Tensioned Headliner Tensioning Bands
Routing Tensioning Bands
• Always align eyes correctly according to instructions.
• When routing tensioning bands, ensure they do not rub against each other or other components.
• Mark and note routing of tensioning bands and positioning of eyes.
• If possible, remove only one side so the other side can serve as a pattern.
1 Bolt
• The screw is micro-encapsulated and must always be replaced.
• 3 Nm
2 Eye
• Moveable diverting eye for tensioning band.
• Different versions, with and without guide tab.
• - Arrow a - shows direction of eye on bolt points with marking.
3 Marking
• The recessed area - arrow a - in the marking shows the direction of the eye.
4 Seal
• For securing tensioning bands - 5 - to tensioned headliner and roof pillar trim.
• When replacing the tensioning bands, secure the seal to the bands with sealing pliers (VAS 6372).
5 Tensioning band
• Each tensioning band can be replaced separately. Delivered without eyes and seals.
6 Double eye
• Simple tensioning band diverting eye.
7 End eye
• When replacing the tensioning bands, secure the end eyes to the bands with sealing pliers (VAS 6372).
