Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair

Transmission Fluid, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

• Triple Square Socket Driver (3357) (For plugs with a multipoint fitting)

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Remove the plug - arrow -.






The level is correct when the transmission fluid comes up to the bottom edge of the hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new seal.

- Tighten the plug - arrow - => [ (Item 5) Transmission Fluid Fill Plug ] Transmission Housing to specification.

Note the following when filling for the first time:

- Remove the plug - arrow -.

- Add transmission fluid until it reaches the lower edge of the hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new seal.

- Tighten the plug - arrow - to specification. Refer to => [ Different Versions of the Oil Fill and Drain Plugs: ].

- Install the noise insulation.

Different Versions of the Oil Fill and Drain Plugs:





I - Plug with a multipoint socket head, 45 Nm

II - Plug with a hex socket head, 30 Nm
