Transmission Fluid, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

• Triple Square Socket Driver (3357)

Transmission fluid, refer to the parts catalog.

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Remove the oil fill plug - arrow -.





The oil level is correct when the transmission is filled up to the lower edge of the fill hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new seal.

- Tighten the plug - arrow - to specification, refer to.

When filling, note the following:

- Remove the plug - arrow -.

- Top off the oil to the lower edge of the fill hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new seal.

- Tighten the plug - arrow - to specification, refer to.

- Install the noise insulation.

I - Oil filler or drain plug with multipoint socket head, 45 Nm

II - Oil filler or drain plug with hex socket head, 30 Nm
