Input Shaft Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pulling Hook (T20143/1)

• Thrust Piece (T40008)

• Sealing Grease (G 052 128 A1)

Removing

• Remove the transmission.

- Remove the slave cylinder with release bearing. Refer to => [ Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing ] Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing.

- Pry out the input shaft seal using the (T20143/1).





• Do not damage the seal running surface on the input shaft.

Installing

- Fill the space between the sealing lip and dust lip - arrow - halfway with sealing grease (G 052 128 A1).





- Lightly lubricate the outer circumference of the seal with gear oil.

- Drive in the seal using the (T40008) until it is flush.





- Install the slave cylinder with release bearing. Refer to => [ Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing ] Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing.

• Install the transmission.
