Shift Unit Overview
• Lubricate the bearings and sliding surfaces with grease (G 000 450 02).
1 Self-Locking, Nut
• 23 Nm
• Always replace.
2 Transmission Shift Lever
• Install so that the master spline aligns with the shift rod.
• Can be replaced with the shift mechanism still installed.
• Installed position => [ Selector Lever/Relay Lever Installed
Position ] Shift Mechanism Overviews.
• Adjust the shift mechanism after installing. Refer to => [ Shift Mechanism, Adjusting ] Adjustments.
3 Sliding Shoe
• Attached into the relay lever => [ (Item 5) Relay Lever ].
4 Bushing
• Not needed for the plastic relay lever.
5 Relay Lever
• Installed position, refer to => [ Selector Lever/Relay Lever Installed
Position ] Shift Mechanism Overviews.
• Adjust the shift mechanism after installation. Refer to => [ Shift Mechanism, Adjusting ] Adjustments.
• Plastic relay lever from 05.07. Refer to => [ Plastic Relay Lever ] Description and Operation.
6 Gear Shift Unit
• Consisting of the gear shift unit shaft and the gear shift cover.
• The components cannot be separated from each other.
• Can be removed and installed with the transmission installed.
• Gear shift unit shaft adapted together with the revised reverse gear selector fork bearing, see => [ (Item 5) Reverse Gear Selector Fork ] Shift Forks.
• Allocation, gear shift shafts. Refer to => [ Allocation, Gear Shift Unit Shafts ].
7 Bushing
• For the gear shift unit shaft.
• Removing and installing, see => [ (Item 16) Bushing ] Transmission Housing.
8 O-ring
• Insert in the groove in the shift cover.
• Install with transmission fluid.
• Always replace.
9 Cap
• For the transmission ventilation.
10 Circlip
• For the relay lever.
• Not on the plastic relay lever.
• Always replace.
11 Selector Shaft Seal
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Selector Shaft Seal ] Selector Shaft Seal.
