Engine, Securing to Assembly Stand

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine Sling (2024 A)

• Shop Crane (VAS 6100)

• Engine and Transmission Holder (VAS 6095)

Secure the engine to the (VAS 6095) when working on it.

- Separate the transmission.

- Install the (2024 A) as follows and lift the engine from the (V.A.G 1383 A) using (VAS 6100).





Belt pulley side: second hole of hole rail in position 1.

Drive plate/flywheel side: first hole of hole rail in position 7.

CAUTION!
Use securing pins at the hook and drifts in order to prevent damage to the engine and the vehicle.

• The peg positions on the (2024 A) marked 1 to 4 face the belt pulley.

• The bores in the hole rail are counted from the hook.

- Secure the engine to the (VAS 6095).
