Lock Carrier with Attachments

Removing

The lock carrier is a safety-relevant component and for this reason it may not be serviced.

If damaged, replace the lock carrier.





- Bring the lock carrier and its attachments into the service position - 1 -.

- Disconnect the electrical harness connectors present.

- Drain the coolant and disconnect coolant line.

- Disconnect condenser lines.

- Be sure to perform the work procedures if the vehicle has adaptive cruise control (ACC).

- With a second technician, remove (T 10093) on longitudinal member on left and right sides and lift out lock carrier.

CAUTION!
Do not start the engine when the A/C system or coolant lines are disconnected.

Do not hang the condenser and hydraulic oil cooler by the lines.

Do not kink the condenser and hydraulic lines.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

Make sure that all plug- and hose connections are corrected installed when re-assembling.

- Align the lock carrier with the longitudinal members and between the fenders.
