Small Coolant Pipe, Removing and Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose clamp pliers (VAS 6362)





Removing

Proceed as follows:

- Drain coolant => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] Cooling System, Draining and Filling.

- Remove the air filter => [ Air Filter, Removing and Installing ] Air Filter, Removing and Installing.

Rabbit and Scirocco:

- Remove the charge air guide leading to the noise generator.

All:





- Loosen the hose clamp - 2 -.

- Remove bolt - 4 -.

- Disconnect electrical connector - arrow -.

- Remove the bolt - 1 - and remove the air guide pipe downward.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the electrical connectors - 1 through 3 - from the bracket.





- Free up the electrical wiring harness on the small coolant pipe - arrow -.





- Remove bolts - 2 and 3 -.

- Disconnect the small coolant pipe from the coolant pump and from the coolant hoses - 1 and 4 -.

Installing

• Tightening specifications => [ Coolant Pipes, Assembly Overview ] Coolant Pipes, Assembly Overview.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.

- Air Guides, Installing with Connector => [ Hose Connections with Connector Couplings, Assembling ] Hose Connections With Connector Couplings, Assembling
