Coolant Connection

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Drip Tray (V.A.G 1306)

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.

- Remove the coolant hoses from the coolant connection.

- Disconnect the connector from the engine coolant temperature sensor (G62).

- Remove the bolts from the coolant connection.

- Slide the cylinder connecting pieces in the - direction of the arrows - into the coolant connection - 1 -.






Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Always replace the seals - 2 - and gaskets.






- Tighten the bolts for the coolant connection - 1 - to 8 Nm.

- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.
