Diagnostic Mode 09 - Read Vehicle Information

Diagnostic Mode 09 makes it possible to access vehicle-specific information from the ECM and the TCM (where applicable).

• Depending on scan tool and protocol used, Diagnostic Mode 09 and the information provided may be referred to by a different name.

Prerequisite

• There must not be any DTCs stored in DTC memory => [ Diagnostic Mode 03 - Read DTC Memory ] Diagnostic Mode 03 - Read DTC Memory.

Procedure

- Connect diagnostic tester.

- Switch ignition on.

- Under address word 33, select "Diagnostic mode 9: vehicle information".

- Select desired vehicle information "Test-ID XX".

Display vehicle information

• Bank 1 = Cylinder bank 1, in direction of travel, right.

• Bank 2 = Cylinder bank 2, in direction of travel, left.





- End diagnosis and switch ignition off.
