• The components illustrated here are for cylinder bank 2. They are a mirror image of the components for cylinder bank 1.






1 Turbocharger

• Turbocharger overview, refer to => [ Turbocharger Overview ] Turbocharger Overview.

2 Gasket

• Always replace

3 Nut

• 25 Nm

4 Bolt

• 25 Nm

5 Connector

• For the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) and Oxygen Sensor (O2S) heater.

Cylinder bank 1:

• Black connector

Cylinder bank 2:

• Brown connector

6 Heated Oxygen Sensor

• 50 Nm

• Can only be replaced with the engine removed. Refer to => [ Engine, Removing ] Engine, Removing.

• Grease only the threads with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3). The hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3) must not get into the slots on the sensor body.

• To remove, use the ring spanner 7-piece set (3337).

Cylinder bank 1:

• Heated oxygen sensor (G39).

Cylinder bank 2:

• Heated oxygen sensor 2 (G108).
