1 Suspended Mount

• Right side, in driving direction.

2 Particulate Filter

• See => [ (Item 11) Particulate Filter ] Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter and Particle Filter.

• Right side, in driving direction

3 Double Clamp

• Right side, in driving direction.

M8 threads:

• Tighten evenly to 25 Nm.

M10 threads:

• Tighten evenly to 40 Nm.

4 Particulate Filter

• See => [ (Item 11) Particulate Filter ] Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter and Particle Filter.

• Left side, in driving direction.

5 Double Clamp

• Left side, in driving direction.

M8 threads:

• Tighten evenly to 25 Nm.

M10 threads:

• Tighten evenly to 40 Nm.

6 Bolt

• 25 Nm

7 Suspended Mount

• Left side, in driving direction.

8 Repair Double Clamp

• Left side, in driving direction.

M8 threads:

• Tighten evenly to 25 Nm.

M10 threads:

• Tighten evenly to 40 Nm.

9 Rear Muffler

• Left side, in driving direction.

11 Tailpipe

• Left side, in driving direction.

• Align in the bumper cutout.

12 Dimension - a - = approximately 10 mm

• Exhaust system must be cold.

• Arrow points in the direction of travel.

13 Clamp

• Tighten to 60 Nm.

• Note the installed position.

14 Dimension - a - = approximately 4 mm

• Exhaust system must be cold.

• Arrow points in the direction of travel.

15 Tailpipe

• Right side, in driving direction.

• Align in the bumper cutout.

16 Repair Double Clamp

• Double clamp viewed in the direction of travel.

• Note the installed position.

17 Repair Double Clamp

• Double clamp viewed in the direction of travel.

18 Double Clamp

• Bolt heads must point toward the transmission.

• Note the installed position.

19 Suspended Mount

• Right side, in driving direction.

20 Repair Double Clamp

• Right side, in driving direction.

M8 threads:

• Tighten evenly to 25 Nm.

M10 threads:

• Tighten evenly to 40 Nm

21 Separating Point

• For repairs

• Marked by two grooves around the circumference of the respective exhaust pipe.

• At the factory, the exhaust pipe and rear mufflers are installed as a single component. Replacement exhaust pipes and rear mufflers are supplied separately, with a replacement double clamp for the connecting joint

• Cut through the exhaust pipes using the body repair saw (V.A.G 1523A) at a right angle at the separating point.
