Post Injection Metering Pump

Metering pumps are secured on the subframe and inject diesel fuel behind the catalytic converters. The goal is to increase the exhaust temperature in order to burn the particle filter.

Metering pumps, securing

• - A -: Bolts, tightening specifications 9 Nm

• - B -: To the cylinder bank 2 catalytic converter.

• - C -: From the fuel tank

• - D -: To the cylinder bank 1 catalytic converter.

The metering pump fuel line is secured directly behind the catalytic converter in order to utilize its exhaust temperature.
