Selector Lever Cable, Checking through 02.2009

Short Description

Check the cable for ease of movement. The selector lever cable must be disconnected from the transmission in order to check it for ease of movement. Do not let the removed end touch anything.

Then selector lever is moving and the cable is reinstalled on the transmission.

Then, the selector lever cable must be adjusted. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable Adjustment, through 02.2009 ] Adjustments.

Do not grease the cable connection!

Checking

- Place the selector lever in the P position.

- Remove the cable from the lever on the transmission.

- Move the selector lever from P to S and to P again several times.

• Selector lever must have freedom of movement while doing so.

- Adjust the cable, refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable Adjustment, through 02.2009 ] Adjustments.
