Radiator Identification Sensor, with Engine Code CBFA
• The radiator identification sensor may be replace just one time. If the sensor was already replaced once, then the radiator must be replaced.
• The radiator identification sensor cannot be removed without being destroyed.
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Adhesive (AMV.195.KD1.01)
Removing
- Remove the radiator. Refer to --> [ Radiator ] Radiator.
- Carefully pry the radiator identification sensor - B - from the radiator - A -.
The cylindrical part of the sensor - arrow - breaks off and remains in the radiator.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:
- Coat the cylindrical part of the new sensor - arrow - with 2 g of adhesive (AMV.195.KD1.01).
- Install the new sensor and turn it 180 degrees - arrow -.
