Exhaust System Assembly Overview
Exhaust System Assembly Overview
1 Oxygen Sensor (G39), 55 Nm
• Bank 1 sensor 1.
• Only use hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3) to lubricate the threads ; do not let the hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3) get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.
2 Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter
CAUTION!
Danger of damaging the decoupling element:
• Decoupling element must not be bent more than 10 degrees.
• Do not load decoupling element on cable.
• Do not damage wire mesh at decoupling element.
• Protect the catalytic converter from shocks and impact stress.
• Removing and installing, refer to --> [ Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter ] Service and Repair.
• Align the exhaust system free of stress. Refer to --> [ Exhaust System, Aligning Free of Tension ] Exhaust System, Aligning Free of Tension.
• Exhaust system, checking for leaks. Refer to --> [ Exhaust System, Checking for Leaks ] Testing and Inspection.
