Removal and Replacement

Fuel Level Sensor

Removing

- Read the safety precautions before beginning work. Refer to --> [ Safety Precautions ] Safety Precautions.

- Observe the rules for cleanliness. Refer to --> [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.

- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to --> [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.

Version A





- Disengage the wire connectors - 1 through 3 - and disconnect.

- Lift the retaining tabs - 4 and 5 - using a screwdriver and pull the fuel level sensor downward and off - arrow -.

Version B





- Pull the fuel level sensor slightly to the side and simultaneously upward.

- Disengage the wire connectors - 1 through 3 - and disconnect them.





Installing

Version A

- Insert the fuel level sensor into the guides on the fuel delivery unit and press up until engagement.

- Connect the wire connectors and check for secure locking.

Version B

- Connect the connectors and check for secure locking.

- Insert the fuel level sensor in the guides on the fuel delivery unit and push down until engagement.

Continuation for Both Versions

- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to --> [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.
