Headlamp Range Control Module, Coding

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle tester (VAS 5051A)

- Connect the (VAS 5051A).

- On the (VAS 5051A), select "Guided Fault Finding".

- Using the "Go To" button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:

• Body

• Electrical Equipment

• 01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) Capable Systems

• Automatic vertical headlamp aim control

• Functions of automatic vertical headlamp aim control

• Coding automatic vertical headlamp aim control

If the Headlamp Range Control Module (J431) is coded, then perform a basic setting on the headlamps.
