- Wipe the cylinder bore clean. Insert the ring and push down with the piston to ensure squareness in the bore to approximately 12 mm (0.50 in) from the top of the cylinder bore. - Check the piston ring to groove side clearance (1). For clearance specification, refer to => [ Piston, Pin and Ring Specifications ] [1][2]Piston, Engine.
