B1154 - Left Rear Heated Seat Switch Supply Voltage Circuit High






For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.

When Monitored: Ignition on, during the heated seat operation.

Set Condition: The Left Rear Door Module detects the voltage on the (P199) Heated Seat Switch Indicator Feed circuit or the (P329) Panel Lamps Dimmer circuits are above 2.5 volts for over three seconds when the heated seat switch is turned off.






Test Step 1 - TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION

With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.

Operate the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch in both positions several times.

With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

Go to Test Step 2

No

Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

Test Step 2 - (P199) HEATED SEAT SWITCH INDICATOR FEED CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE







Turn the ignition off.

Disconnect the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch harness connector.

Disconnect the Left Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.

Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.

Turn the ignition on.

Measure the voltage between the (P181) Left Rear Heated Seat Switch Indicator Driver circuit and ground in the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch connector.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes

Repair the (P181) Left Rear Heated Seat Low Indicator Driver circuit for a short to voltage.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

No

Go to Test Step 3

Test Step 3 - (P329) PANEL LAMPS DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE







Measure the voltage between the (P329) Panel Lamps Driver circuit and ground in the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch connector.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes

Repair the (P329) Panel Lamps Driver circuit for a short to voltage.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

No

Replace the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
