B126C - Right Rear Heated Seat Low Indicator Control Circuit High






For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.

• When Monitored: Ignition ON, during the heated seat operation.

• Set Condition: The right rear door module detects excessive voltage on the heated seat indicator control circuit.






Test Step 1 - Test for an Intermittent Condition

• With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.

• Operate the right rear heated seat switch in both positions several times.

• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B126C - Right Rear Heated Seat Low Indicator Control Circuit High?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 2

No

• The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.

• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

Test Step 2 - Disconnect the Right Rear Heated Seat Switch and Re - Read DTC

• Turn the ignition OFF.

• Disconnect the right rear heated seat switch harness connector.

• With the scan tool erase DTCs.

• Cycle the ignition switch off then back on.

• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 3

No

• Replace the right rear heated seat switch.

• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

Test Step 3 - Disconnect the Right Rear Door Module C2 Harness Connector and Check For Voltage

• Turn the ignition OFF.

• Disconnect the right rear door module C2 harness connector.

• Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.

• Turn the ignition ON.

• Measure the voltage of the right rear heated seat Low Indicator driver circuit at the right rear door module C2 harness connector.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes

• Repair the right rear heated seat Low Indicator driver circuit for a short to battery.

• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

No

• Replace the right rear door module.

• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
