B126F - Left Heated Seat High Indicator Control Circuit Low






For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.

When Monitored: Ignition ON, during the heated seat operation.

Set Condition: The left rear door module detects a short low on the heated seat indicator control circuit.






Test Step 1 - Test for an Intermittent Condition

With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.

Operate the left rear heated seat switch in both positions several times.

With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B126F - Left Heated Seat High Indicator Control Circuit Low?

Yes

Go to Test Step 2

No

The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

Test Step 2 - Disconnect the Left Rear Heated Seat Switch - Read DTC

Turn the ignition OFF.

Disconnect the left rear heated seat switch harness connector.

Turn the ignition ON.

With the scan tool erase DTCs.

Cycle the ignition switch off then back on.

With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B126F - Left Heated Seat High Indicator Control Circuit Low?

Yes

Go to Test Step 3

No

Replace the left rear heated seat switch.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

Test Step 3 - Left Rear Heated Seat High Indicator Driver Circuit Short to Ground

Turn the ignition OFF.

Disconnect the left rear door module C2 harness connector.

Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.

Measure the resistance of the heated seat high indicator driver circuit between the left rear door module C2 harness connector and the left rear heated seat switch harness connector.

Is the resistance less than 10k ohms?

Yes

Replace the left rear door module.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

No

Repair the left rear heated seat high indicator driver circuit for a short to ground.
