B1860 - Passenger Window Control Circuit High
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• When Monitored: Whenever the window motor is not operating.
• Set Condition: The passenger window motor UP circuit is high while the window is not moving.
Test Step 1 - Test for an Intermittent Condition
• Turn the ignition ON.
• With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
• Try to operate the passenger window UP and DOWN several times.
• Wait 30 seconds.
• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B1860 - Passenger Window Control Circuit High?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2
No
• The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 2 - Window Motor Short
• With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Disconnect the passenger window motor connector.
• The graphic shows the right hand drive connector. See the schematic for the left hand drive connectors.
• Turn the ignition ON.
• Operate the driver window switch UP and DOWN several times.
• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B1860 - Passenger Window Motor Control Circuit High?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 3
No
• Replace the passenger window motor.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 3 - Passenger Window Passenger UP Circuit Short to Voltage
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Disconnect the passenger door module C4 harness connector.
• Turn the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage between the passenger window passenger UP circuit and ground.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
• Repair the passenger window motor UP circuit for a short to voltage.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Go to Test Step 4
Test Step 4 - Passenger Window Passenger DOWN Circuit Short to Voltage
• Measure the voltage between the passenger window passenger DOWN circuit and ground.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
• Repair the passenger window motor DOWN circuit for a short to voltage.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Replace the passenger door module.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
